Counseling and Psychological Care Center Participates in Raising Awareness of Mental Health for University and school students

■ Today, the Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul Karim Zubaiba, Director of the Counseling and Psychological Care Center at Dhamar University, along with the Deputy Director of the Center, Head of the Department of Psychology, Prof. Abdo Farhan Al-Hamri, launched the center's activities in conjunction with the activities of World Mental Health Day, which falls on October 10 of each year. These activities included a visit to the free psychological medical camp held at Al-Saada Hospital for Mental Health in Dhamar in partnership with the Family Development and Guidance Foundation.
Dr. Zubaiba indicated that the center's activities will continue, by implementing an awareness campaign on mental health for university and school students until the conclusion of the activities with a scientific symposium on October 11.
This step comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and provide support and psychological care to members of society. Joint initiatives between the university and Al-Saada Hospital contribute to enhancing communication and cooperation between the relevant authorities in the field of mental health.
This visit aims to introduce the accompanying team members to the hospital's activities and services in the field of mental health, and provides an opportunity for direct communication with doctors and specialists in this field. The university encourages participation in this event and to benefit from the available educational and consulting opportunities.

During the visit, the Vice President of the University toured the hospital and reviewed the services provided in the psychological medical camp. Dr. Zubaiba praised the efforts of the Al-Saada Hospital administration and the level of services it provides to those in need, expressing his happiness with the cooperation between the University's Counseling and Psychological Care Center and Al-Saada Hospital for Mental Health regarding the exchange of knowledge and experiences, with the aim of establishing continuous cooperation to implement joint programs in the field of mental health as part of the community services provided by the center and the hospital.
The Vice President of the University was accompanied during the visit to the medical camp by a team of psychological specialists from the University's Counseling and Psychological Care Center
