The Rector of Thamar University Chairs Preparatory Committee Meeting for the 6th International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications

■ As a part of intensive preparations to host one of the most prominent international scientific events, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, chaired a meeting today at his office in the university's main campus. The meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the 6th International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications, organized by the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics at Thamar University in partnership with the Yemen Research Foundation, is scheduled to be held from August 3-4, 2026.
The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and the Vice-Rector of the Conference, Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqaleh, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University, the Vice Deans, the Heads of Academic Departments, the General Secretary of the Faculty, and the heads of the committees and their subcommittees.
The meeting reviewed the progress made in preparing for the conference, examining what had been accomplished in the previous phase and discussing the final preparations plan to ensure the conference is conducted in a manner befitting the academic standing and reputation of Thamar University, its scientific partners, and supporters.
The attendees also discussed the results of communication with supporting and partner entities, the progress achieved in this regard, and the next steps to finalize the scientific, organizational, and logistical aspects, guaranteeing the conference's success and the achievement of its research and knowledge-based objectives.
The meeting approved holding regular meetings of the Preparatory Committee and its subcommittees to monitor implementation, assess progress, and address any challenges that may arise in the remaining period before the conference.
The University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, emphasized the importance of redoubling efforts in the coming phase, urging the heads of committees and support teams to submit detailed progress reports, including completed tasks, completion rates, and timelines for the remaining phases.
This will contribute to achieving the highest levels of coordination and readiness, ensuring the organization of an international scientific conference that reflects Thamar University's distinguished academic and research standing. The 6th International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications comes as an extension of Thamar University's efforts to support scientific research, strengthen academic partnerships, and create a scientific platform that brings together researchers and experts to exchange experiences and review the latest developments and innovations in the fields of smart technologies and their various applications, thus contributing to development and keeping pace with rapid technological transformations.
