The Rector of Thamar University Chairs an Expanded Meeting of the Code of Conduct Team and Affirms the University's Support for its Implementation

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, chaired an expanded meeting of the Code of Conduct and Work Ethics Team at his office in the university's main building. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Essam Wasel, the Rector's Assistant for Centers Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University, as well as the team leader and its members.

At the outset of the meeting, the University Rector emphasized the importance of implementing the Code of Conduct and Work Ethics and establishing its principles and values ​​across the university's various units. He stated that it serves as a framework that contributes to improving institutional performance and enhancing integrity and professional discipline, which will positively impact the quality of work and services provided by the university.

The University Rector emphasized the importance of the main team and its sub-teams fulfilling their roles in implementing the initiatives and activities outlined in the code of conduct, working collaboratively to foster a culture of professional commitment. He affirmed the university leadership's readiness to address any challenges the team might face and to provide all necessary support for the success of its programs and activities.

The meeting addressed several agenda items, most notably a review of planned, implemented, and postponed initiatives and activities during the year 1447, in accordance with the executive work plan. Discussions also covered the implementation procedures related to the directives of the Acting Prime Minister and the circular issued by the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development regarding the formation of the supervisory team and its sub-teams within the university's colleges and centers, as well as the actions taken in this regard.

The meeting also addressed the practical initiatives of "State Day," "Role Model Initiative," and "Stationery Conservation Initiative," and their implementation mechanisms within the university's main administration and affiliated units. Furthermore, it explored ways to solidify the values ​​and principles outlined in the Code of Conduct and apply them to various aspects of the job performance of academics, administrators, and staff, thereby promoting positive behaviors and professional ethics, based on the understanding that employment is a responsibility, a trust and a service to the community.

The meeting reviewed the roles of the main team and sub-teams in activating practical activities and initiatives in coordination with the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development. It also discussed the preparation of the Code's team plans for the year 1448, as well as initiatives and projects aligned with the university's objectives and development plans.

From his part, Mr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Afiri, the Head of the Code of Conduct and Work Ethics Team, expressed his deep gratitude to the University Rector for his continued interest and support of the team and its role, praising his guidance, which will enhance the implementation of the Code's programs across the university's various colleges and centers.
