The Rector of Thamar University Inspects the Readiness of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics and Preparations for the 6th International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications

■ As part of the ongoing efforts to finalize preparations for the 6th International Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications (eSmarTA-2026), Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University and the Chairman of the Conference, conducted an inspection visit this morning to the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics.
The purpose of the visit was to review the progress of the technical and administrative preparations and to monitor the ongoing renovation and upgrade work at the faculty in anticipation of hosting the conference.
The University Rector was received by Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqaleh, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, who provided an overview of the completed development and upgrade work, as well as the organizational and technical procedures being implemented by the relevant committees to ensure the faculty's readiness to receive conference participants and researchers.
During his visit, the University Rector inspected the progress of work at several college facilities and the halls designated for the conference events. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the established timeline to complete all preparations according to the highest organizational and technical standards, reflecting the academic standing of Thamar University and creating a suitable academic environment for the success of this international scientific event.
The University Rector was accompanied on the visit by several university leaders, who reviewed the progress of the preparations and received a briefing on the remaining stages to finalize arrangements before the conference begins.
