The Rector of Thamar University Inaugurates Cybersecurity Entrance Exams at the Faculty of Computer Science and Emphasizes Continued Development of Specialized Technical Programs

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, along with Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, inaugurated this morning the entrance exams for students applying to the parallel program in Cybersecurity at the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics.
The inauguration was attended by Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Maqaleh, the Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Khaled Al-Hussaini, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Abdulmalik Al-Muallami, the University Registrar, Bandar Al-Duhmli, the General Secretary of the Faculty, and a number of academic and administrative leaders.
The University Rector and his entourage reviewed the exam procedures and the organizational and technical measures implemented at the examination center to ensure that the exams were conducted in an atmosphere of discipline and transparency, guaranteeing equal opportunities for all applicants.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi affirmed that Thamar University is steadily progressing towards developing its academic programs and introducing specialized fields that keep pace with technological advancements and the rapidly evolving demands of the job market. He pointed out that the cybersecurity specialization represents one of the modern tracks that enhances students' capabilities in the areas of digital space protection and information security, and contributes to preparing national talents capable of keeping up with the rapid developments in the technology sector.
The Unversity Rector commended the efforts exerted by the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs, the Deanship of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, and the organizing committees in the early preparation for the entrance exams.
The launch of the entrance exams and selection process comes as part of Thamar University's preparations to complete the enrollment of new students for the 2026-2027 academic year, and its commitment to improving the quality of its academic programs and strengthening its presence in modern technical specializations that meet the needs of development and digital transformation.
