Thamar University's Faculty of Administrative Sciences Launches Admissions and Placement Tests Amidst Competition from 688 Students for 200 Places in the General Program

■ As a part of its preparations for the new academic year, the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, along with the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, launched the admissions and placement tests at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences this morning.
688 students are competing for 200 places in the faculty's general program. The tests were conducted in a well-organized manner, reflecting the university's readiness and its commitment to applying standards of transparency and equal opportunity in the admissions and placement procedures.
The inauguration was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Amal Al-Mujahid, as well as the University General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mujahid, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Hussein Al-Manjar, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Bakil Dhaifallah, the General Secretary of the Faculty, Abdullah Rajih, and a number of university leaders, staff, faculty members, administrative staff, and members of the University Student Forum.
The Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, affirmed that the university is committed to establishing an academic admissions system based on integrity, fairness, and equal opportunities. He pointed out that the competitive entrance exams represent a key step in selecting qualified students capable of pursuing their university studies, thus enhancing the quality of education and providing society with qualified personnel who possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to contribute to national development.
From his part, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, explained that the university has dedicated its various human and technical resources to ensure the success of the admissions process. He added that the university has provided a suitable, automated, and efficient electronic environment that guarantees the smooth and regular conduct of the examinations.
He emphasized the university's commitment, in cooperation with the University Student Forum, to providing comprehensive student services and ensuring accurate, transparent, and objective admissions procedures.
In turn, the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Amal Al-Mujahid, indicated that the college continues to develop its academic programs to keep pace with scientific advancements and the demands of the job market. She noted that the college is a leading institution in preparing and qualifying administrative professionals through specialized academic programs that contribute to building knowledge and developing students' leadership and administrative skills.
She added that the college works to provide its students with a comprehensive understanding of financial sciences and management and business concepts, including strategic planning, organization, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial analysis, and human resource management. It also focuses on developing communication, teamwork, decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, enabling graduates to effectively address contemporary management challenges.
The Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Thamar University offers a number of specialized programs, most notably business administration, marketing and production, accounting, and financial and banking sciences. This provides students with diverse academic options that align with their interests and abilities, contributing to the development of qualified professionals who meet the needs of the labor market and the requirements of development.
