Thamar University Honors the Public Telecommunications Corporation and Receives 30 Computers to Upgrade the College of Administrative Sciences' Labs

■ Thamar University honored leaders from Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation today in recognition of their contributions to strengthening partnership and cooperation with the university and supporting the educational process. This coincided with the delivery of 30 modern computers to the College of Administrative Sciences to upgrade its computer lab.

During the event, the university honored Eng. Ali Abdulrahman Al-Wada'i, the Head of the Commercial Sector at the Public Telecommunications Corporation, Eng. Nabil Mohammed Al-Sarri, the General Director of Marketing at the Corporation, Eng. Fouad Ahmed Al-Qawas, the General Director of the Corporation's Dhamar branch, and Eng. Mohammed Sharaf Al-Din Al-Murtadha, the Marketing Director, in appreciation of their efforts in supporting the university and enhancing institutional cooperation.

The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, and attended by the Vice Rector, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Abdulfattah Al-Rifai, the Rector's Assistant to for Centers Affairs, Dr. Essam Wasel, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Amal Al-Mujahid, the Head of the Media and Public Relations Department, Mr. Jamal Al-Bahri, the General Director of the University Rector's Office, Mr. Majid Al-Washli, the Director of Media and Corporate Communications at Yemen Telecom, Essam Al-Thawr, as well as a number of university leaders and staff, and leaders and engineers from the Public Telecommunications Corporation.

The support provided to the faculty included the delivery of 30 modern computers, 15 of which were provided by the Public Telecommunications Corporation and 15 by Yemen Mobile. This support is part of a joint effort to develop the educational infrastructure and equip the faculty's laboratories to accommodate the opening of new specializations, most notably Management Information Systems, which requires modern equipment and technologies to enable students to acquire the practical skills related to their academic studies.

In his address, the Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, expressed his gratitude to the Public Telecommunications Corporation and Yemen Mobile for their continued support of the university. He emphasized that this cooperation embodies the effective partnership between state institutions in serving higher education and contributes to developing the educational environment and training national cadres to meet development needs.

From her part, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Amal Al-Mujahid, explained that upgrading the computer lab represents a significant step in developing the educational process at the faculty, especially with the introduction of new academic programs, most notably Management Information Systems. She affirmed that the modern equipment will contribute to raising the efficiency of practical training and enabling students to apply the technical knowledge and skills required by their specializations.

Meanwhile, the General Director of Marketing at the Public Telecommunications Corporation, Engineer Nabil Mohammed Al-Sarri, confirmed that the corporation prioritizes supporting educational institutions within its community programs. He indicated that what was provided to Thamar University represents the beginning of further cooperation, in implementation of the Ministry's directives, and in a way that enhances the quality of education in public universities.

From his part, the General Director of the Public Telecommunications Corporation in Dhamar Governorate, Engineer Fouad Ahmed Al-Qawas, emphasized the importance of the existing partnership between the corporation and Thamar University.

He pointed out that supporting the educational process and training personnel are part of the corporation's social responsibility, and that providing the Faculty of Administrative Sciences with modern equipment comes within the framework of contributing to the development of the educational environment and enhancing students' ability to keep pace with the technical requirements of modern specializations.
