Thamar University Organizes a Cultural and Intellectual Symposium on the Revolution of Imams Zayd and al-Hadi Against Tyranny and Deviations

■ In an effort to enhance cultural awareness and strengthen faith-based identity, Thamar University, in cooperation with the University Student Forum, organized a cultural and intellectual symposium today, Sunday, at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, entitled "The Revolution of Imams Zayd and al-Hadi Against Tyranny and Deviations."

The symposium was held under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al-Saadi, and the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, and was attended by a number of university leaders, faculty and administrative staff, and leaders from the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.

The symposium witnessed a strong academic, administrative, and student presence, reflecting Thamar University's commitment to cultural and intellectual programs aimed at deepening awareness of historical and intellectual issues and highlighting the values ​​and principles that have shaped significant milestones in the nation's history. This contributes to raising awareness among university members and strengthening its role in fulfilling its enlightening mission.

In the symposium's keynote address, Mr. Hassan Al-Mawshki, the University Rector's Consultant for Cultural Affairs, reviewed the historical circumstances surrounding the revolutions of Imam Zayd bin Ali and Imam Al-Hadi ila al-Haqq Yahya bin Al-Hussein. He discussed the motivations behind these revolutions and the humanitarian and jihadist goals they embodied in confronting tyranny and the political and intellectual deviations of that era. He emphasized that these two revolutions represented a model for reform and resistance against injustice, and contributed to establishing the values ​​of justice, dignity and freedom.

This seminar (the fourth in a series) is a part of a series of cultural and intellectual activities organized by Thamar University in cooperation with the University Student Forum. It falls within the university's efforts to develop the intellectual and cultural awareness of its members and to link academic achievement with national and cultural responsibility, thereby strengthening the university's role in preparing students and graduates who possess both awareness and knowledge, in addition to academic qualifications.
