Launch of Entrance Exams for Private-Funded Students at the Faculty of Medicine

■ Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, along with Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtada, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, launched this morning the entrance exams for students applying to the private-funded program at the Faculty of Medicine.
Seventy students are competing for the available places in the program, in an organized atmosphere characterized by precision, transparency, and discipline.
The launch was attended by Dr. Abdallah Al-Adhrai, the Vice Dean of the Faculty for Student Affairs, Abdulmalik Al-Muallami, the University Registrar, Ali Al-Bakhrani, the General Secretary of the Faculty, as well as a number of academic and administrative staff.
During the launch, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs praised the level of organization and coordination between the Student Affairs sector and the Faculty of Medicine, commending the efforts made in preparing and administering the entrance exams according to precise procedures that ensure equal opportunities for all applicants.
Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai affirmed that Thamar University employs a modern admissions system based on automated electronic selection, which promotes the principles of integrity, transparency, and fairness, and guarantees the selection of the most distinguished and deserving students. He pointed to the high reliability of the selection results, which are based on academic merit and the applicants' performance in the exams without any interference or exceptions.
He also noted the leading academic role played by the Faculty of Medicine and the continuous efforts exerted by the Dean, faculty members, and administrative staff in preparing doctors with scientific and practical competence, which has resulted in the increasing demand and high level of competition for admission to the Faculty year after year.
From his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtada, affirmed that the faculty is committed to applying the highest standards of quality and transparency in its admissions and selection procedures, ensuring the selection of the most distinguished and deserving students. He noted the high level of confidence in the faculty's academic programs and the quality of its graduates. He added that the faculty continues to develop its educational and practical environment and to dedicate its academic and administrative resources to preparing physicians who possess the necessary scientific and practical competence, meet the needs of the medical sector, and contribute to serving the community at the regional level.
