Faculty of Dentistry Commemorates the Friday of Rajab and the Anniversary of the Leader with a Cultural Event at Thamar University

■ This morning, the Faculty of Dentistry at Thamar University organized a cultural and oratorical event to commemorate the Friday of Rajab, coinciding with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Leader Hussein Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi (1447). The event was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, and in the presence of the Faculty's General Secretary, Fahmi Al-Shami, along with a number of academic and administrative leaders and staff and representatives from the university's student forum.
The event addressed the profound religious and historical significance of the Friday of Rajab, highlighting it as a pivotal moment in Yemeni people's faith, recalling the meaning of their voluntary embrace of Islam, and the values of faith, awareness, and genuine belonging that this occasion embodies.
In his address during the event, Professor Mr. Hassan Al-Mawshki, the University Rector's Consultant for cultural affairs, explained that commemorating these religious and faith-based events is a practical embodiment of the faith-based identity that has historically served as a safeguard for free peoples.
He emphasized that the Quranic project championed by the martyred leader established a phase of awareness that restored the nation's compass and solidified a culture of independence and responsible stance in confronting projects of hegemony and subjugation.
Mr. Al-Mawshki pointed out that faith-based identity is not a theoretical concept, but rather a system of values and attitudes that are translated into behavior and decisions, contributing to building a conscious and intellectually and culturally fortified society. He noted the importance of strengthening these concepts within the university community, as it is the incubator of awareness and the shaper of the future.
