Thamar University Conducts Competitive Exams for the College of Dentistry and Announces Preliminary Results

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, accompanied by his Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Abdulfattah Al-Rifai, and the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Nashwan Al-Tairi, launched the competitive exams for applicants to the College of Dentistry, General System, for the new academic year 1447.

Approximately 350 students competed, distributed among two examination committees at the Colleges of Dentistry and Medicine. The exams were meticulously organized in several halls and lecture halls within the colleges.

The university administration demonstrated great care in providing a calm and organized examination environment, reflecting the level of seriousness and professionalism the university embraces in managing admissions and competition affairs.

In a brief speech during the inauguration, the University Rector expressed his great appreciation to the Student Affairs Office and the staff of the College of Dentistry, commending their tremendous efforts in preparation and organization which resulted in a smooth and highly professional competition.

Dr. Al-Rifai noted that all stages of marking and determining the competition results are managed entirely digitally, ensuring the highest levels of transparency, accuracy and fairness in evaluation.

Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi emphasized that the university is opening new horizons for students who were not successful in the general competition, through opportunities to enroll in the parallel system or in other medical colleges that are still available. He added that the grievance process will open immediately after the results are announced this evening, as a part of the university's commitment to fairness and the student's right to review.

What is striking about this event is that the preliminary results were announced only a few hours after the end of the exams. They were published across the University's Media Platforms, along with sample questions and ideal answers, confirming the university's commitment to transparency and making information available to all.

The inauguration was attended by a number of prominent academic and administrative figures, including the General Registrar, Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Mualimi, the General Secretary of the College, Mr. Hisham Al-Mahdi, as well as a number of faculty members and administrative staff from the College of Dentistry.
