The Institute of Continuing Education at Thamar University Celebrates the Prophet's Birthday, Honors Excellent Students and Welcomes New Students

■ The Institute of Continuing Education at Thamar University, in cooperation with the Student Forum, held a cultural and religious event in the Palestine Conference Hall to celebrate the Prophet's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), under the slogan: { محمود رسول الله والذين معه اشداء على الكفار ، رحماء بينهم
}, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University.
The event included honoring top-achieving students for the academic year 1447 and welcoming new students for the academic year 1448, in the presence of several university leaders, faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
In his address, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the University Rector, praised the event and its focus on honoring outstanding students and welcoming new students. He emphasized the importance of such activities in strengthening awareness and connection to Prophetic values. He called upon all members of the university community to actively participate in the central event commemorating the Prophet's birthday in the Prophet's Square on the university campus. He also invited women to participate in the event held in Al-Hamdi Park in Dhamar.
From his part, Dr. Masha'al Al-Rifi commended Thamar University for its resilience and steadfastness amidst the difficult circumstances the country is facing. He expressed his appreciation for the university leadership's attention to its students and its recognition of high-achieving and distinguished students. He stressed the importance of students understanding the demands of the current stage and benefiting from the outcomes of the educational process, as they are the core of the educational process and the foundation of its success.
He pointed out that university education is not limited to acquiring knowledge, but also contributes to building the student's character and developing their cognitive, intellectual, practical, and general skills, thus qualifying them for success and excellence in their practical training and enabling them to be active, influential, and ready to contribute to serving society.
He emphasized that outstanding and distinguished students deserve recognition and appreciation, especially those who have achieved excellence and success under difficult circumstances. He noted that holding the event in conjunction with the anniversary of the Prophet's birth and within the university's premises is an honor for the institution and a testament to its educational and awareness-raising role.
The Dean of the Institute of Continuing Education, Professor Dr. Nabil Al-Makhlafi, delivered a welcoming address, in which he greeted the attendees, praised the outstanding and new students, and emphasized the importance of educational and cultural activities in supporting the progress of the institute and the university.
The event was attended by Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Essam Wasel, the Recto's Assistant for Research Centers, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University; Dr. Ahmed Al-Washli, the Vice Dean of the Institute for Academic Affairs, Dr. Salah Al-Qawsi, the Vice Dean of the Institute for Student Affairs, Mohammed Al-Badawi, the General Secretary of the Institute, and a number of faculty members, administrators, and students.
The event included recitations, cultural performances, and folkloric segments presented by the Al-Rasoul Al-Adham Ensemble, as well as an awards ceremony honoring outstanding students from various disciplines and academic levels.
